Sale of second-hand items

Do you have a collection of knitting needles of all sizes, in all finishes, that accumulate (and seem to multiply!) in your drawers, but you still use your darlings? Give your needles a second life by selling them to other knitting enthusiasts who will give them another great opportunity to knit.

What is the purpose of this program?

The main idea is to limit the waste of resources and to put back into circulation unused accessories, still in good condition, that can still be used and thus avoid the production and purchase of new resources unnecessarily.

How does it work?

You fill in the form with as much information as possible, you decide on a selling price, you bring your items for sale to La Bobineuse and we take care of the rest.

Your items will be posted on our online store and offered to our customers. If your items find a new home, La Bobineuse retains 25% of the sale price to cover processing, listing, posting, promotion and shipping costs if applicable, and you will receive 75% of the sale price as a purchase credit at La Bobineuse.

At the end of each month, sold items will be removed from the online store and purchase credits will be sent by email. 

What is accepted?

At this time, only knitting needles are accepted. Over time, the program may be expanded to accept other types of accessories.

Straight, double point, fixed circular, interchangeable, pairs or sets of needles in good condition are accepted. All major brands are accepted. Needles must be in good, undamaged condition. Original packaging is not required, but may increase resale value.

It is your responsibility to determine whether or not an item has resale value. If an item is too old, in poor condition, or no longer has value, it will probably not be sold. 

How long are the items displayed?

Once a week, all items received during the week will be processed, photographed and initially posted on our online store for a period of 30 days. If you wish and indicate it in your form, we can post your items for a second 30 day period if they have not been sold. 

At the end of the established period, unsold items will be returned to the owner or donated to a local organization, as determined. 

The fine print.

If the items you entrusted to us are sold, we will issue a purchase credit (in the form of a gift certificate) in the amount of 75% of the sale price before taxes. The purchase credits can be used on all your purchases, in the store or online, with no expiration date.

You must pick up your unsold items within 15 days of the end of the display, otherwise you give permission to La Bobineuse to donate them to a local organization.

La Bobineuse is not responsible for items sold through this program. No exchanges, returns or warranties offered on items sold used.
