Sock knitting

Level : Advanced Intermediate - Prerequisites: mastery of basic knitting
Duration : 3 X 2:00 of fun

Date : Sunday 2, 9 AND 16 February from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

In this workshop for advanced knitters, we will explore the intricacies of sock knitting. Knitting a sock using the needle of your choice (circular using the magic-loop technique or a set of double pointed needles), we will dissect all the steps, from the ankle to the toes, including the heel.

To begin, we will experiment with various circular knitting tools and techniques (circular needle, magic loop, double pointed) to find the one that works best for you.

Through the making of our sock, we will learn all the subtleties of making the heel and grafting the toe tips! You will therefore be able, following the workshop, to start making socks in the size of your choice, with a pattern that is already familiar to you.

****Attention: To fully enjoy this workshop, it is NECESSARY to be comfortable with knitting knit stitches, purl stitches, ribbing as well as casting on stitches. If this is not already your case, we invite you to start with the level 1 course ***

Materials provided :

The yarn used for the class will be the same for everyone, but you will be able to choose the color at the first class.

Materials to purchase during the first lesson:

1 circular needle (fixed or interchangeable) 4mm or 4.5mm (or similar) with a cable of at least 100cm / 40” or a set of double pointed needles. If you already have these needles, feel free to bring them!

All classes take place at the La Bobineuse boutique located at 2196 Ave du Mont-Royal Est, at the corner of Parthenais Street.

Unless otherwise stated, course fees include all the materials you will need. All that's missing is you! Show up to class with your best smile and determination and we'll have a great time together discovering new techniques.

How to register? You have two options: you can go to the store to pay the registration fee and reserve your place. You can also book online now by adding the course of your choice to the cart and following the purchase steps.

Space is limited and classes fill up quickly so don't wait! The cost of the course must be paid in full at the time of registration. Registrations are final and will only be refunded if we cancel. If you are unable to attend your class, please notify us at least 72 hours in advance so that we can transfer your registration to another date. If you notify us less than 72 hours before the start of the course, we will be unable to move your registration.
