Winter lets itself be desired, but one thing is certain, cooler weather will eventually arrive! We don't want to get our heads caught in the air so if you want a simple little hat to keep your coco warm, we have the pattern for you!
Suggested yarn: 100% acrylic Atlas yarn . 1 ball of 100 grams (130 meters) in the color of your choice, or the equivalent.
Recommended needles: 6.5 mm and 7 mm
This hat is knitted on straight needles.
On the smaller needles cast on 64 stitches.
Knit rib 2-2 (knit 2 - purl 2) until the end of the row.
Continue in rib 2-2 for 10 rows.
Change to 7mm needles.
Knit row: knit all stitches.
Purl row: purl all stitches.
Continue until the piece measures between 15 and 18 cm in total, depending on the desired length.
Start the decreases as follows:
Row: knit 1 * (2 sts together - 4 knit stitches). Repeat from * to end of row.
Purl row: purl all stitches.
Row: knit 1 * (2 sts together - 3 knit sts). Repeat from * to end of row.
Purl row: purl all stitches.
Row: knit 1 * (2 sts together - knit 2). Repeat from * to end of row.
Purl row: purl all stitches.
Row: knit 1 * (2 sts together - knit 1). Repeat from * to end of row.
Purl row: purl all stitches.
Knit row: knit 1 *(2 sts together). Repeat from * to end of row.
Purl row: purl all stitches.
Cut the yarn leaving a good length, thread through a yarn needle and pass through each remaining stitch. Tighten to close the hole.
Make an invisible seam and tuck in the excess thread.
Adorn the tuque with a pompom if you want!
